She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Shelby and Hazel Shelby; and her brothers, Glenn Shelby and Roger Shelby. She is survived by: her husband Steve Cornell; her children, Hazel Sue Birmingham (Mike), Christie Wilkerson (Ben), Donna Handcock (Cam) and John Shelby; and her grandchildren, Destin Brasher, Jacob Brasher, Chris Wilkerson Brooke Wilkerson, Ben Wilkerson, Kayleigh Spears, Carson McCaleb, Kameron Warren and Daniel Shelby. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
