He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Scogin and Lola Scogin; his brother Kenneth Scogin; his grandson Andrew Frederick; and his brother-in-law Danny Cornelious.
He is survived by: his wife Lynda McNatt Scogin; his children, Wade of Haleyville, Brenda Scogin of Haleyville, Paul Scogin of Haleyville, Jill Pendley of Haleyville, Scott Pendley of Haleyville, Donna and Ken Frederick of Hackleburg; his stepchildren, Robert, Tracy Hooker of Bear Creek, Chris, Debbie Flanagan of Double Springs and Diane Berton of Alexandria, LA; his brother Wayne; and also, Elvis Scogin and Doris Cornelious. He is also survived by five nieces; one nephew; and a host of friends.
