He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Thomas Ward; his parents, Ozie Ward and Addie Ward; his grandparents, Willie, Nigeria Ward, Robert and Margaret Kelley; his sister Margaret Sanders; his brothers-in-law, Russell Pickard and Larry Mann; and his niece Andra Pickard.
He is survived by: his nephews, Gayron Ward, Barry Sanders, Keith Mann, Josh Sanders, Tyler Mann and Austin Crysell; and his siblings, Fayrene Pickard, Raymond Ward (Lola), Kenneth Ward (Margaret), Nellie Mann and Jeanette Mays (Robert). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
