He is survived by: his wife Patsy Whitten; his sons, Carlos Shane Whitten and Stephen Whitten (Misty); his grandsons, Blake Whitten, Hunter Whitten (Rachel), Trevor Whitten (Amy) and Trenton Whitten; his great grandchild Jackson Mize; and his siblings, Glenda Little, Peggy Price, Mary Burleson, Ellen Gravitt, Carrie Weeks and Pearlene Barnett.
