She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Salazar and Dolores Mora Salazar; her sister Esther Salazar Bosarge (Phillip Clarke, Sr.); her sons, Phillip Clarke, Jr., Robert Lee Clarke (Bobby) and Daniel Leslie Clarke; and her granddaughter JoAnna Michelle Edwards-Adkins.
She is survived by: her husband Shackley; her sister Lu Lu McGallagher; and her daughters, Vita Isabel Clarke, Elinor Clarke Edwards (James) and Sarah Clarke Bosarge (Scott). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Bayou La Batre (12 Bayou Sara Ave, Saraland, AL 36571). Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (13500 Wintzell Ave, Bayou La Batre, AL 36509). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
