He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha L. Odom; his siblings, Louise Lambert, Joseph S. Odom, Jr., James Odom, Johnny Odom and Raymond Odom; and his grandson William L. "Tra" Odom, III.

He is survived by: his children, William L. "Billy" Odom, Jr. of Phillipsville and Patricia Ann Chambliss of Saraland; his sister Viola Gafford of Lucedale, Mississippi; and his grandchildren, Theresa Messer of Saraland and John D. Chambliss Jr. of Colorado.

The family has requested no flowers. Please make donations to the Nokomis Baptist Church 2383 Hwy 31 Atmore 36502.
