It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Ephney Lucas of Bay Minette, Alabama, born in Axis, Alabama, who passed away on June 23, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lucas and Vivian Lucas; and his siblings, Earl, Everette, Ray, David, Lavon, Mazel, Hazel and Patricia.

He is survived by: his significant other Martha Jon Smith; his children, Donna Lucas, Steve Lucas and Andy Lucas; his sister Mary Holmes; his grandchildren, Jessica Peer (Aaron), Lindsay Odom (Chad), Michael Hudson (Savannah), Chandler Hudson, Courtney Lucas and Kylee Lucas; and his great grandchildren, Kayden Peer, Bentleigh Peer and Parker Eli Odom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
