He is survived by: his daughter Sarah Elizabeth Jernigan; his stepdaughters, Debbie Eakins and Debra Hollingsworth of Mississippi; his grandchildren, Van Jernigan II, Bridgette Lamascus and Jessica Hollingsworth; his great grandchildren, J. T. McDowell, Jennifer Jernigan, Victoria Jernigan, Whitney Jernigan, Olivia Jernigan, Marcus Kale Jernigan and Samuel Lamascus; and his great great grandchildren, Dominic Jernigan and Emmaleigh Bruneau.
