He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Chambers and Opie Chambers; his sisters, Wanetta Kurts and Reva Guin; and his brother-in-law Michael Harig.
He is survived by: his wife Michele Chambers; his children, Scarlett Callen (Sean), Melanie Myers (Chris), Angela Mercer (Mike), Valerie Boothroyd (Steve), Holly Chambers, Matthew Chambers (Savanna), Jennifer Richey (Preston), Lacey Young Gibbs (Brandon) and Emily Key (James); and his siblings, Pat Mote (Jerry), Barbara Cullum (Larry), Stan Chambers (Shirley), James Chambers (Cindi) and Donna Harig. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
