He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Marie Pettis Smith; his parents, William Harrison and Ruth Tolbert Smith; and his daughter-in-law Danita Ward Smith. He is survived by: his children, Christopher W. Smith of Bay Minette, AL, Sonja Smith Vandergriff of Bay Minette, AL and Scott Smith of Bay Minette, AL; his siblings, Wayne Smith (Jypsia) of Appleton, AL, Riley Smith (June) of Appleton, AL and Joyce Madden of Appleton, AL; his grandchildren, Cody Allen Arthur, Hannah Marie Walter (Ryan), Destany Villanueva Davis (Alex), Shawn Derek Wilson and Crystal Lasha Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ashlyn Smith, Skyln Smith, Raylyn Smith, Caleb Wilson and Jeremy Wilson.
