He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marilyn Lee Benson Bjornas of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Debra Jean Holton (Roy) of Bay Minette, AL, Richard Steven Bjornas, Jr. (Joan) of Sharpsburg, GA and Denise Lynn Smith (David) of Camp Point, IL; his grandchildren, Tammy Crady (Harry Streich), Jason Gray (Shakeisha), Michelle Malaski (Bryant), Mathew Bjornas, Andrew Bjornas, Isaac Smith (Brittany), Rebecca Askew (Ben), Jacob Smith (Brittany) and Joseph Smith; his great grandchildren, Jazmyne Crady (Devin Wood), Lillian Crady, Charlie Vanamburg, Austin Vanamburg, Zane Gray, Gage Gray, Griffin Gray, Jadon Smith, Alexandra Askew, Jonathan Askew, Emma Rose Askew, Nikolai Smith and Barrett Smith; and his great great grandchild Freyja Marie Wood.
