He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Sims and Sadie Sims; his former wife Alsie Wiggins Sims; and his siblings, Curtis Sims, Marvin Sims, Bobbie Lou Wright, Benton Sims, Mary Ethel Sims and Betty Blanton.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Trawick Sims of Bay Minette, AL; his sons, Terry Sims of New York City, NY and Mitchell Lamar Sims (Lisa) of Elberta, AL; his grandchildren, Rebecca Kate Noe (Corey), Chelsea Smith (Micah), Haley Sims and Jordan Collins (Stone); and his great grandchildren, Elsie Anna Noe, Henry Noe, Clyde Noe, Sadie Jane Noe, Scout Smith, Tanner Smith and Tilly Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1628, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
