Horace Corley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 13, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Horace Corley (Bay Minette, Alabama). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Corley and Myrtle Corley (Miller); his siblings, Lucille, Crystal, James, Clarence and Roy; and his grandson John Yarbrough.
He is survived by: his children, Horace Donald "Don" Corley of Mobile, Carolyn Feminear of Lubbock, Texas, Glenda Yarbrough of Kerrville, Texas, Dorothy Parvis of Bay Minette, Annette Dove of Mobile and Cheryl McKinley of Bay Minette; and his wife Sibyl. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
He was born in December of 1919, amid the Spanish flu pandemic, in Rabun, Alabama. He was well on his way to overcoming Covid19, when he passed from a separate health issue, just two weeks shy of his 101st birthday.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made of small Christmas gifts and snacks to William F. Green in gratitude to the sacrifice of the heroes who live there, and the heroes who work there.
