Hazel Hawkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Hawkins (Bay Minette, Alabama), who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Martin Hawkins; her son Johnny Bennett Hawkins; her granddaughter Ann Denise Graham; her parents, Harold Plato and Fannie Plato; and her siblings, James Plato, Orrie Mae Taylor, Bernice Elliott, Lois Hopkins, Herman Plato, Frank Plato, Louise Carnley, Dottie Wilcox and Major Plato.
She is survived by: her brother Winnall Plato; her daughters, Shirley Graham (Frank), Ginger King and Betty Franklin (Johnny); and her grandchildren, Ric Graham (Angie), Matt Franklin (Megan), Samantha Peacock, Liz Kolbe (Jason), John Hawkins (Rachel) and Karen Ralston (Randy). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.
