He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon William Mothershed and Karoline Groeteke Mothershed; and his sister Karla Mothershed. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mothershed of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Peter Mothershed of Redding, CA and Jia Mothershed of Mobile, AL; his sister Karmen Still (Harry) of Bay Minette, AL; and his stepchildren, Jessica Crumpley, Joel Barnette and Sam Barnette.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to New Life Baptist Church, 49535 Rabun Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507 or to Springhill Hospice, 27880 North Main Street, Suite B, Daphne, AL 36526.
