She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Benny R. Reece; and her mothers, Vivian Harrison VanDyke and Edith Gilbert VanDyke. She is survived by: her son Judson Benjamin Reece (Joni); her sisters, Edith VanDyke and Charlotte Johnson; and her nieces and nephews, Scarlett Dorman (Arnold), Paul Rider Jr. (Nikki), Charwayne Elliot (Ellis), Joseph Johnson (Pam) and Cindy Leonard (Dale).

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Presbyterian Children's home, or Alabama Embrace Kids.
