She was predeceased by: her husband Joe R. Newell, Sr.; and her sister Barbara Gosser. She is survived by: her children, Joe R. Newell, Jr. (Elisabeth) of Ellijay, GA and Renée N. McRoy (Arthur) of Mobile, AL; her sisters, Mary Charles Norrell of Greenville, AL, Inez Woodruff of Roswell, GA and Betty Jean Walton of Opilika, AL; her grandsons, Joe R. Newell, III and Wesley D. McRoy; and her great grandchildren, Alexander Grey Newell and Willow Rose Newell.
