He is survived by: his wife Maggie Childress; his children, Clara Childress and Chase D. Childress, Jr. of Bay Minette; his parents, Gary Childress and Shari Childress of Fairhope; his grandfather George Eazsol (Kathy) of Florida; and his sisters, Kristy Childress of Gulf Shores and Taylor Childress of Spanish Fort. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to assist with the funeral costs.
