She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Newton and Loree Barlow Newton; her siblings, Marion Thomas and Donald Newton; and her grandson Jeremy McKissack.
She is survived by: her daughters, Regina Sprinkle of Bay Minette, AL and Rhonda Akins of Bay Minette, AL; her grandchildren, Nicole Akins and Cameron Boyington; her great grandchildren, Symonie Wasden, Skyler Wasden, Andi McKissack and Abby McKissack; and her great great grandchild Braylee Wasden.
