He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Mae Blount; his sons, Donald Albert Blount and David McNile Blount; and his brother Hugh Paul Blount. He is survived by: his daughters, Sheila Diane Carpenter (Dale) of Axis, AL and Linda Doreen Flores (Sammy) of Miami, FL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
