He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meadows and Elmer Meadows; his wife Marie Rogers Meadows; his children, Donald Joe Chambless and Marilyn Hawkins; and his siblings, Earl Meadows, Virby Meadows, JT Meadows, Donald Ray Meadows, Bill Meadows and Mary Lou Meadows.
He is survived by: his children, Sandy Pennington (James) of Fayette, Wilburn Chambless of Bankston, Ricky Chambless (Wanda) of Bankston and Gary Meadows of Bankston. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
