He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Whitson; and his parents, Bradley Whitson and Pearl Whitson. He is survived by: his children, Milford Bradley Whitson (Christie) of Pensacola, FL and Faith Elizabeth Vice (Delbert) of Berry; his sisters, Wanda Brown (Bill) of Fayette, Patricia Milligan of Berry and Rose Cope (Vana) of Patterson, LA; his grandchildren, Britanie Drapo (Bill) of Bankston, Tori Parson (Wesley) of Berry, Chesney Whitson of Pensacola, FL and Tristan Whitson of Pensacola, FL; and his great grandchildren, Benjamine Drapo, Charlotte Drapo, Addalee Drapo and Logan Parson.
