He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence M. Chandler, Sr. and Velma Harrison. He is survived by: his siblings, Annie Hall (Kenneth "Dick"), Mary Middlebrooks and Lawrence M. Chandler, Jr. (Angela). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
