He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Beveridge and Russell N. Burson; and his brothers, Bruce and Russell, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sisters-in-law, Jeanne Tuley Burson and Margaret Wade Burson; and his nieces and nephews, Leslie Burson Davis and Bruce B. Burson, Jr.. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
