She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth A Zanzinger and Barbara M Zanzinger; and her siblings, Kenneth Zanzinger and Beverly Mathison. She is survived by: her husband Timothy Emery; her children, Kenneth, Marcus, Hannah and Julia; and her siblings, Amy Zanzinger and Jeffery Zanzinger.

In the early days of the CV19 pandemic she spent 79 days in the ICU at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center becoming acclimated to life on an invasive ventilator where she became the de facto mother to the entire ICU nursing staff, eight of whom were pregnant.
