He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmie Sue Lumpkin and Bennett Allae Alford; his wife Ruth Wiggs Alford; his siblings, Vivian Walker (Pat), James Alford (Ruby) and Bennett Alford (Eunice); and his son-in-law Tom Yeager.
He is survived by: his uncle Billy; his brother Frank Alford (Joyce) of Carollton, GA; his children, Linda Yeager of Louisville, KY, Charles Alford (Janet) of Vero Beach, FL, Lois Anne Molony (Pat) of Birmingham, AL, John Alford (Julie) of Rome, GA and Barbara Hogan (Don) of Eustis, FL; his grandchildren, Ford Hazelip (Melanie), Will Hazelip (Shelby), Kevin Hogan (Haley), Laura Morgan (Ryan), Elizabeth Allen (Billy), Colleen Booth (Rainey) and Grace Alford; his great grandchild Thomas Hazelip; and his grandchildren, Graham, Brooks, Blair Hogan, Lela, Joseph Morgan, Louise, Mary Ruth Hazelip, William, Annie Allen, Rainey and Henry Booth. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
