He was predeceased by: his brother Buddy Halpin; and his parents, Wallace Halpin and Flois Halpin. He is survived by: his wife Glennelle Halpin; his sons, Michael of Atlanta and Mark of Auburn; and his sister Carolyn Kimbrough of Troy, Alabama..
