He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Kriel and James Kriel. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Jablecki-Kriel; his children, Shelly Kriel, Brian Kriel (Amanda), Lucy Kriel and Chauntel Kriel; his grandchildren, Alex, Grace, Harrison, Victoria, Andrew, Brandon, Christopher and Virginia; and his great grandchild Jeremiah.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wesley Memorial UMC.
