She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hornsby and Minnie Howard Hornsby; her son Bryant Bass; and her siblings, Mavis Hancock, Evelyn Golden, Thalia Shockley, Elaine Tippett, Douglas Hornsby and Murray Hornsby.
She is survived by: her husband Wilbur Bass; her children, Renee Segrest (Tony) and Brent Bass (Sharon); her grandchildren, Brandon Segrest (Rachel), Taylor Barraza (Evan) and Derrick Bass; and her great grandchildren, Ethan Segrest, Audrey Segrest and Anna Segrest. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
