She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur and Vivian Mae Pierce Mayo, Sr.; her husband Thaddeus; her sons, Kenneth Griffin and Keith Griffin; her grandparents, Sampson and Gladys Riddick Pierce; and her brothers, James Mayo and Ronald Mayo.
She is survived by: her nephews, John Mayo and Turnell Mayo; her children, Chris Griffin (Nadine), Russell Griffin, John Griffin, Turnell Mayo, Bernadette Issac and Kim Issac; her siblings, Charles Pierce (Jacqueline) and Barbara Mayo; her daughters-in-law, Laurie Griffin and Laurie Blecker; her sister-in-law Gwen Mayo; and her friend Jack Brennan. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home (515 S 6th St, Opelika, AL 36801).
