He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Murphy and Robbie Murphy; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Faulkner, Jasper Faulkner, Jack Faulkner and Jerry Faulkner.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Murphy; his children, Charles Murphy (Susan) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Felicia Gardner (Jason) of Auburn, Alabama; his grandsons, Samuel Gardner, Gabriel Gardner, Jack Murphy, William Murphy and Luke Gardner; his sister Charlotte Abrams (Tommy) of Olive Branch, Mississippi; and his sisters-in-law, Linda Faulkner, Judy Faulkner and Robin Faulkner of Oneonta, Alabama. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
