He was predeceased by: his father Robert C. Sims, Sr.; and his sister Charlotte. He is survived by: his mother Mary Frances Sims; his wife Maria; his brothers, Tom (Diane) and Kenneth (Joy); his nieces and nephews, Carol and Robin (Dean); and his granddaughter Christi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Large Animal Clinic at Auburn University.
