She was predeceased by: her parents, Troy Carroll Atkinson and Evelyn Rowell Atkinson; and her siblings, David Julius Atkinson, Troy Carroll Atkinson, Jr., Dorothy A. Hall and Miriam A. Donovan.
She is survived by: her children, Jeannie N. King (Wayne) of Charleston, SC, Clare N. McGill (Hack) of Chapin, SC and John T. Nissen (Janet) of Lexington, SC.; her grandchildren, Henry B. McGill, III (Amanda), Kyle N. McGill, Davis L. King and Nissen, Jr. (Shannon); and her sister Gwen A. McCurdy (Layton) of Charleston, SC..
