He is survived by: his wife Sandra Spivey Smith; his children, Ric Smith (Carole) and Rhonda Smith Dougherty (Kevin); his grandchildren, Zack Dougherty, Kathryn Dougherty and Harry Smith; and his brother Vernon Smith (Jeanette).
