He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edward Ellison and Gladys Curtis Potter; his wife Della "Dale" Elvington Ellison; his son Gary Ellison; and his brother Thomas Edward Ellison, Jr..
He is survived by: his granddaughter Sloane; his sons, Phillip Ellison (Jobi) of Auburn, AL and Wayne Ellison (Janie) of New Johnsonville, TN.; his sister Bethel "Beth" Schneider of Lexington, TN.; his grandchildren, Tabatha (Scott), Ann, Savannah, Rachel, Quinton and Emily; his great grandchildren, Levi, Addison, Hannah, Gracie and Layden; and his sister Imogene Yarbro.
