He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosalind Prestwood Ford and Joseph Fulton Ford, Jr. of Andalusia; his former wife Sylvia Wilkes Ford; his uncle James M. Prestwood, Jr.; and his wife Sarah Walters Ford.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Don Thrash (Cindy) of Auburn, James Thrash (Cindy) of Opelika, Sharon Thrash of Opelika and Ted Thrash (Debbie) of Opelika; his nephew Steve Thacker (Susan) of Houston, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Sarah McInnis Walters of Birmingham and Steve Walters (Fran) of Enterprise; and his grandchildren, Jarrett Clark, Catherine Gayle Fuller (Will), James Ray Thrash, Baker Thrash, Calvin Thrash, Tripp Thrash, Anna Grace Thrash and Lily Ledbetter.
