He was predeceased by: his nephews, Johnny Thompson and Sammy Carter. He is survived by: his spouse Martha Ann Carter; his sister Hilton Carter of Brundidge; and also, Max Carter of Phenix City, Billy Carter (Joan) of Deatsville and Meritta Findley (Gerald) of Gainesville. He is also survived by his parents, three brothers, five sisters.
