It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hiram Joseph Powell of Auburn, Alabama, born in Clay, Alabama, who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Glover Powell and Harriet Smith Powell; and his siblings, Hoyt Powell, Hollis Powell and Imogene Powell.
He is survived by: his daughter Shanda Adams (Tucker) of Pelham; his grandchildren, Clay Cotney, Allison Cotney, Anna Cotney, Sydni Adams and Shelby Adams; his sister Nellie Ruth Powell; his sister-in-law Joyce Powell; his close friends, Herschel Battle, Michelle Buchanan and Smith; and also, Selina Johnson (Barry), Kyle Johnson (Alexis), Kaci Barker (Ryan), Brayden Wells, Brynlee Johnson and Laney Barker.
