He was predeceased by: his son Raymond W. Long; his brother William R. Long, Jr.; and his parents, William R. Long, Sr. and Myrtis. He is survived by: his wife Anne W. Long; his son Glenn W. Long, Jr. (Janine) of Vero Beach, Florida; his daughter-in-law Ina Long of Hoover, Alabama; his grandchildren, Amanda Long, Robert Long, Samuel Long and Walker Long; and his great grandchildren, Harper and Maverick Long.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers.
