He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Bridges Newkirk; his son Eric Wayne Newkirk (Donna) of Bloomington, IN; his brother David Mark Newkirk of Columbus, IN; and his parents, Woodrow Newkirk and Thelma Newkirk of Columbus, IN.
He is survived by: his brother Delano Newkirk (Luzetta) of Bloomington, IN; and his granddaughters, Corrina and Holli of Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
