He was predeceased by: his parents, Gideon Overbey and LaNora Overbey; his wife Betty Bryan Overbey; and his children, Susan Overbey and Richard Overbey of Calvert City.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Overbey (Chuck) of Louisville, Kentucky, Carol Collins of Louisville, Kentucky and Kay Ennis of Auburn, Alabama. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
