It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Davis of Auburn, Alabama, born in Cartersville, Georgia, who passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Edwards and Gladys Watkins Edwards; and her husband James Ernest Davis, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, James Ernest Davis, Jr. (Mary Lou) of Birmingham, Alabama, Christopher Edward Davis (Penney) of Hood River, Oregon and Valarie Davis McCalman (Patrick) of Andalusia, Alabama.; her sister-in-law Marsha Davis Arrington of Cartersville; her niece Susan Arrington Brown; her nephew John Davis Arrington of Atlanta, Georgia.; and her close friend James Burleson.
