He was predeceased by: his son William Robert Barksdale. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Bob and Will Bob (Willy); his wife Joan Holland Barksdale; his children, Jeff Barksdale and Elise Pardue (Taylor); his grandchildren, Cole Barksdale, Sammie Walimaki and Corey Olson; his children, Maggie and Barkley; his sister Beth Wisdom Barker (Richard); his niece Claire Mokry (Chris); and his great-niece Olivia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Auburn United Methodist Church Food Pantry or East Alabama Medical Center Cancer Center.
