He was predeceased by: his parents, Lew Benson and Doris Benson of Guntersville. He is survived by: his daughter Hayley Benson; his son-in-law Jake Benson; his grandson Jacob Benson; his stepdaughter Sarah Valentine; his brothers, Bert and Tom; his sister-in-law Kim Benson; and his nieces, Jessica Savage and Allison Mostella.
