Alfred Ray Cavender Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Ray Cavender of Auburn, Alabama, who passed away on November 29, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Cavender and Nettie Mai Cavender; and his siblings, Clarence, Dutch Cavender, Effie Prince and Mamie Crider.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Dorothy Haggard Cavender; and his daughter Dr. RayeCarol-Cavender (Brice Cole) of Lexington. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the AUMC music program or the United Methodist Church Children's Home, 3140 Zelda Court, Suite 100, Montgomery, Alabama 36106.
