She is survived by: her daughter Terri Lu Whitten; her son-in-law Mark Whitten; her grandson Mark Andrew Whitten; her siblings, Frances Baswell and George; her sister-in-law Diane Ward; her brother Jackie Ward; her sister-in-law Barbara Stewart; and her close friend Sarah Fuller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Ashville.
