He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Lemons Fitts; his daughter Gina A. Fitts (Chris G. Fitts); and his parents, Joe B Fitts and Lois Fitts. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Bourg (Mark) of Piedmont, AL, Crystal Fitts Everett of Ashville, AL, Jason Fitts (Karla) of Ashville, AL and Sidney D Fitts Jr. of Ashville, AL; and his sister Gladys (Robert Glover). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morgan Funeral Chapel (625 Gilbert Ferry Rd SE, Attalla, AL 35954). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
