He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubin Willis King and Lily Pearl King; and his sister Verdie Bone (James). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy King; his children, Stacy King and Kevin King (Paula Durbin); and his granddaughters, Samantha and Kylie King. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the funeral expenses.
