He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Thompson and Maxine Thompson; and his brother Randy. He is survived by: his daughters, Kelley Crumbley (Tony) and Mickie Smallwood (Brent); and his sisters-in-law, Penny Godfrey and Pam Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
