He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Maggie Rice Smith; his son-in-law Kyle Smith of Beauregard; his granddaughter Ripley Smith of Beauregard; his siblings-in-law, Linda, Richard Jenkins of Montgomery, Robbie, Charles Lancaster of Gadsden, Johnna, Mike Scogin of Georgetown, KY and Sue Rice of Dallas, GA; his brother Mike Rice; his nieces and nephews, Michael Jenkins, Corey Collins, Amanda Ammons, John Lancaster, Ben Lancaster, James Scogin and Kate Scogin; and his great-nephew Drew Collins. He was also cherished by seven nieces and nephews and nine great-nieces and nephews.
